Here we are... The annual trek to the Gingerman. In the house tonight we have... Kyle and his lovely lady Courtney. We have Van the friggin man. We have Brent Jenkins in the house. We have G-squared Minyard tonight. And of course we have the Ink Smudge contingent who brought us all together.

So here i am... Chillin at la calle doce and watching comedy. My man Richard invited me out. This is the craziness called "the cliff" you never know what you're gonna get.

Catching Up

Well, here it is... November already. Right now, I'm sitting in the dentists chair waiting for the hygienist to do her thing. While waiting I figured I'd drop a quick entry in here.

Last night I caught up with two dear friends of mine. Both of them have November birthdays and both live on the East Coast. (a third member of the crew also lives in the same region but his birthday is later in the month... Sorry bro.) I am reminded after talking with them of how important friends are. It seems that no matter how many years pass, the bonds we developed as kids remain constant and strong. That's pretty darn special, huh? We're all at different places in life, but my annual check-in with them seems to keep me grounded. Thank you guys!

Beautiful day today. I took a stroll over to the UPS Store to send a package. On the way back I spotted this clunker. Boy, you won't catch me driving one of these...

Going green... greener

So, I was reminded of something today. I've been using styrofoam cups at work for too long. As part of my "good habit" theme for the month, I'm making a conscious effort to go green...er... Hillbilly Junkshun style. Now, I'll sip my tea and avoid using those little white cups that take forever to decompose.

October is still a wonderful month.

October... a new month

I started a new journey today. It does not involve getting on a bike and pedaling anywhere. Neither does it involve hopping in a kayak and pedaling anywhere. After all, paddling is for the birds when there's a sail and mirage drive involved. In any case… I'm making this day, the first day of my new month. My goal this month is to develop more good habits than bad ones… in fact, I plan to drop a couple bad ones and start a couple new ones just to kick things off!

Today, is October. My team, four-and-oh via Latino, is in first place. Life ain't bad. This is the start of a quality month… a new one.

Escape to New England

Wow... I really wish that I were here right about now. This place is truly one of a kind. There's nothing quite as relaxing as sitting by the shores of Lake Hayward on a sunny afternoon.

Entry No. 1

So, I'm starting my first blog...

The way I see it, this is a place for me to share my daily ramblings. I haven't yet come up with a strategy for this thing, so I think I'll just start out with this as a sort of public diary. Diary diarrhea is sometimes a good thing. If nothing else, it's a cheap form of therapy. Right?

My pal over at the Ink Smudge wrote a little short story. After reading his prose, I decided to post a comment, only to learn that I had to have a login to see the coolest of stuff. So, thank you, Jon, for turning me on to this new form of knowledge sharing. Now, if I can just copy your writing style, I'll be lined up for the Pulitzer. Thanks, bro!

I have no clue what types of things will end up here. I'm thinking that my life's little lessons (boring to anyone else but me) and a few pictures will arrive in this space. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.
